LIVERPOOL HOPE UNIVERSITY:
With a history extending 168 years, Liverpool Hope has developed a strong
tradition of scholarship and research in key disciplines. As the only
ecumenical university foundation in Europe the University’s work has been
shaped by Christian principles but embraces those of all faiths and none. The
excellent academic record of our students is supported by pastoral care and,
as one of Britain's smaller universities, Liverpool Hope values the
individual - in the words of Cardinal Newman knowing her children one by one.
Care, concern and support for students are always a priority.
The
University places great emphasis on the bringing together of research
excellence and top-quality teaching. This is facilitated by a community of
academics and scholars who are of the highest calibre. This research-informed
teaching enables our students to develop into rounded and employable
graduates who can take their place confidently as global citizens in the 21st
century.

The world – especially in Africa and Asia - is facing
several challenges. They can only be met on the basis of knowledge and
values.
For more than forty years, the MWI has supported the academic
formation of young Christians in Africa and Asia. During their doctoral
studies and on the bases of Christian values they acquire a sound knowledge
in order to build up a future and thus assume leading positions in their
home countries.
With your support, we provide scholarships that help selected
young people to successfully complete their studies – also in
Germany and Europe – and to qualify for their future responsibilities in
Africa and Asia.
We do believe in the principle of sustainability. With each
scholarship we sow the seed in order to find better ways and means to
ameliorate in the long term the situation of many people in the world.
Thereby we fulfill our commitment to develop the church and to improve the
life of humankind on our earth.
Your support, in whatever form, will help to qualify young
people. This is indeed a sustainable investment in the future of our planet
and helps to solve many urgent questions concerning our future.
